Welcome to Metbaber! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Metbaber platform, including our website, mobile applications, and any related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
Metbaber is an online marketplace that connects clients ("Clients") who need tasks performed with workers ("Workers") who can complete those tasks. Clients post tasks, and Workers accept and complete them for a fee. Metbaber acts as an intermediary and is not a party to any agreements between Clients and Workers.
You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. By using Metbaber, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Posting Tasks: Clients may post tasks with a description, budget, and deadline. Tasks must comply with our Prohibited Activities policy (see Section 8).
Accepting Tasks: Workers may accept tasks that they are qualified to complete. Upon acceptance, the task budget is reserved from the Client's account.
Completing Tasks: Workers must submit proof of completion. Clients have the opportunity to review the submission. If approved, payment is released to the Worker, minus our commission.
Disputes: If a Client rejects a submission, the Worker may revise and resubmit. Unresolved disputes may be escalated to Metbaber for mediation. Our decision is final.
Workers must complete tasks honestly and in accordance with the client's instructions. Any attempt to:
will result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of all pending and future earnings, and permanent ban from the platform. Additionally, we may pursue legal action to recover any losses. Payment once released is final and cannot be reversed; workers who attempt to undo completed work (e.g., by deleting a social media post after payment) will be banned and may be reported to relevant authorities.
Clients must provide clear and lawful task instructions. They must act in good faith when reviewing worker submissions. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
Violations may result in account suspension, forfeiture of funds, and permanent ban. Clients who engage in chargeback fraud will be banned and reported to financial authorities.
Once a task payment is released to a worker, it is final and cannot be reversed. Workers who undo completed tasks (e.g., removing a like, follow, or post after payment) are in breach of these Terms and will be permanently banned. Clients who falsely claim work was not completed will also face penalties. Metbaber reserves the right to investigate and make final decisions on all disputes.
Metbaber charges a commission on each completed task. The commission rate is displayed on our website and may be updated from time to time. Clients may also incur deposit fees (if any) as disclosed at the time of deposit. Workers can withdraw their earnings subject to minimum withdrawal limits and applicable fees.
Funds are held in your Metbaber wallet. Withdrawals are processed via available payment methods (Telebirr, CBE, bank transfer). Withdrawals may take up to 3 business days to process. We are not responsible for delays caused by third‑party payment processors. Attempts to withdraw funds obtained through fraudulent means will result in account closure and legal action.
You may not use the Services to:
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of all funds, and legal prosecution.
All content on the Metbaber platform, including logos, text, graphics, software, and trademarks, is the property of Metbaber or its licensors. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our prior written permission. However, you retain ownership of any content you post (e.g., task descriptions, proof submissions).
If a dispute arises between a Client and a Worker, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve it amicably. If no resolution is reached, either party may escalate the matter to Metbaber. Metbaber will review the evidence (including task instructions, proof of work, and communications) and make a binding decision. Metbaber's decision is final and not subject to appeal. We reserve the right to withhold or release funds as we deem appropriate.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, any pending tasks may be cancelled, and funds may be refunded to Clients (minus applicable fees). Terminated users are prohibited from creating new accounts. If your account is terminated due to fraud, any remaining balance will be forfeited.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Metbaber shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the six months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold Metbaber harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your use of the Services.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance.
